Our walk hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, but most walking shifts are only 4-6 hours. We occasionally offer walks evenings, weekends and STATs but it's not a guaranteed service.

Relief Walker (Flexible / On-Call)
This is a low-commitment, high-flexibility role supporting our busy midday walking window from 11am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
Best for:
Students, parents, work-from-home or those with changing schedules
Ideal for:
Those who want flexible, supplemental income without a fixed schedule
Hours:
0-15 hours a week. 0-4 hours a day.
Contractor position.

Growth Walker (Build-a-Schedule)
Start small and build toward a consistent walking schedule.
Best for:
Students (summer coverage) or someone looking to grow into a steady role with lots of flexibility.
Ideal for:
Someone dependable who wants to ease into a more consistent role
Hours:
0 to 30 hours a week over 3- 6 months. 0-6 hours a day.
Contractor position to start.

Route Walker (Set Schedule)
Take over an existing schedule and maintain consistency for both dogs and their owners.
Best for:
Someone ready to step into steady, reliable income, and able to wait for a position to become available.
Ideal for:
Experienced walkers or those ready for a stable, ongoing role.
Hours:
20-30 hours per week.
4-6 hours a day.
Contractor position to start.

House Sitter (Contractor)
Our house sitters provide high-level, in-home care for dogs who need consistency, companionship, and structure.
Best for:
Homebodies, remote workers, flexible schedules.
Ideal for:
Remote workers, freelancers, or anyone who prefers a quieter, home-based role.
Hours:
18-24 hours a day in the home, including overnight. 2 weeks of House Sitting available per month. Pay is not hourly but a fixed rate in line with other pet care providers.

Trainer (Contractor)
Our day training approach combines structured walks with real-world training support for dogs needing some extra training while their owners are at work.
Best for:
Experienced trainers looking for flexible, relationship-based work
Ideal for:
Certified trainers wanting supplemental clients, flexible scheduling, or hands-on behavioural work outside of group classes for assistants.
Hours:
Zero-hour contract, as needed at this time. 1 hour per week.

Lead Walker + Admin (Employee)
This role helps keep Sit Stay Sparkle running smoothly through client and walker communication, scheduling support, social media management and covering additional dog walks.
Best for:
Organized multitaskers looking for a varied schedule of office work and field work.
Ideal for:
Someone looking for flexible remote administrative work, dog walks with a creative and client-focused element.
Hours:
30 hours a week, mix of dog walks, daycare and admin.
